Tapering off Lexapro
Just started with a new Psychiatric NP, she wants me to go off Lexapro as I have been on it for 23 or so years and still had anxiety, had to take Ativan to calm anxiety, has anyone every had this issue and did you go on a different medication to substitute the Lexapro

I am tapering off lexapro after 10 horrible weeks. Going ti change to zoloft.
Lorazapram I'd the glue that holds me together during the change.

@tody and I am doing the exact opposite. I am noticing that Lexapro is making me extremely happy with staying home and not wanting to do too much of anything.
I think I need to go back to Zoloft.
Today is the day. Taking 10mg Lexapro, the one I'm going off. And 50mg Zoloft, the new medication. I will do this four days. Then reduce Lexapro 3 days. Then Day eight no Lexapro, just Zoloft.
I have busbar also, taken for years and lorazapram as bandaid to get me through.
My doctor had me do oneome testing of my DNA to see how my system reacted with a big list of drugs. It showed why I had such a terrible time changing meds in the past. And that Zoloft will be a good choice for me before I have to do trial and error.
I will say based on past experiences, I am very nervous.
Ask to be tested using oneome DNA test. It screens out which meds react well with you and others not so well.
