Taking BP med with low normal BP and Heart Rate Elevations?

Is anyone else in this situation? I am taking Metropolol in lowest dose to keep heart rate under 100, despite a Pacemaker for same reasons. I have never had high BP. It is usually 101 over 75. The only way I can handle it is to take the drug at night before I go to bed. Even then, doctors assume wrongly that I have high BP.

Anyone else notice side effects from this drug?

I had a heart attack and as a result got 4 stents and blood pressure medication. Before my heart attack my pressure was normal to low. However, I think the medication is used as a preventive measure. Plus as you age I think pressure goes up...good luck.
