I have been on Tagrisso 80 mg for 2years on July 10, 2026. I was diagnosed with Lung cancer with Mets to the brain, stage 4, 2024.I had radiation to brain with good success. I, also had 4 rounds of chemotherapy infusion and I have been Cancer free since my original therapy . Thanks to Tagrisso! Praise God!🙏🏻
I have felt pretty good most days, but the last three weeks, I have noticed some fatigue, diarrhea, muscle aches, muscle spasms, and sores in my mouth. My appetite is poor, I eat but not much and dry mouth, which has been with me since the beginning. I must add I turned 81 this month and maybe some of my symptoms are an age thing! I look forward to reading about everyone’s success with Tagrisso!
It has been a blessing!

2 Reactions@vking I've found a mouth wash called Andolex C which contains benzydamine HCl (for pain/swelling) and Chlorhexidine gluconate (anti bacterial) is excellent. I keep it in my mouth while I shower at night and by morning my mouth is painless. I think it's made in South Africa (I live in Namibia) but perhaps there's something similar where you are?

2 ReactionsIt is called EMMA, formulated by a gastro dr. I take 2 a day and it works for me. I am lactose intolerant, but when I take these I can eat milk products with no problem. I can not take imodium, makes me very ill, so I had to find something else.
@vking this has helped me when I have had mouth sores. for some reason, they don't normally prescribe it, but I went rogue. 😅🤫

I have been on Tagrisso for 2 1/2 years. For the last 9 months, my Pet Scans have shown the cancer to be "inactive" (doctor's term). My side affects started about a year on the drug. Worse was diarrhea for almost 6 months. I finally found a supplement that stopped the diarrhea. Now, I am dealing with mouths sores. I get 4 or 5 at a times and worst ones are on tongue. I cannot eat or talk for around 5 days until they start to get better. Then, they take me off the Tagrisso for 10 days and they go away. But, then come back in a few months. Use backing soda to relieve the pain and it does help, but still still takes 20 to 12 days to recover. Has anyone found a way to prevent the mouths sores or a treatment to make them go away faster?
@lls8000 Mobility issues and intermittent diarrhea, tiredness.

2 Reactions@debgibson I've been on Tagrisso for a month now. Stage 4 lung with mets to brain and bone. I've had few side effects- minor diarrhea and a little shortness of breath. I have a 3 level townhome, so I get a bit winded when I go from 1st level to 3rd for laundry, but nothing I can't live with.

1 ReactionWelcome @divemaster, I'm so glad that Tagrisso has been effective for her. NED is amazing!
I take a similar targeted therapy for a different mutation, and I'm over 5 years. Best of luck to you both for continued success.
What are the most impactful side effects that she continues to experience after three years? Those side effects can be tough.
