@vking this has helped me when I have had mouth sores. for some reason, they don't normally prescribe it, but I went rogue. 😅🤫

It is called EMMA, formulated by a gastro dr. I take 2 a day and it works for me. I am lactose intolerant, but when I take these I can eat milk products with no problem. I can not take imodium, makes me very ill, so I had to find something else.
@vking I've found a mouth wash called Andolex C which contains benzydamine HCl (for pain/swelling) and Chlorhexidine gluconate (anti bacterial) is excellent. I keep it in my mouth while I shower at night and by morning my mouth is painless. I think it's made in South Africa (I live in Namibia) but perhaps there's something similar where you are?

2 ReactionsI have been on Tagrisso 80 mg for 2years on July 10, 2026. I was diagnosed with Lung cancer with Mets to the brain, stage 4, 2024.I had radiation to brain with good success. I, also had 4 rounds of chemotherapy infusion and I have been Cancer free since my original therapy . Thanks to Tagrisso! Praise God!🙏🏻
I have felt pretty good most days, but the last three weeks, I have noticed some fatigue, diarrhea, muscle aches, muscle spasms, and sores in my mouth. My appetite is poor, I eat but not much and dry mouth, which has been with me since the beginning. I must add I turned 81 this month and maybe some of my symptoms are an age thing! I look forward to reading about everyone’s success with Tagrisso!
It has been a blessing!

2 Reactions@almarodel happy birthday Linda God bless you. I am also on Tagrisso. I can only take 40 mg though. I too have lung cancer. I have four nodules I believe but because of the Tagrisso they’re not growing, thank God. I go for my next scan on May 18. God bless you, Linda you’re doing great. 81 is young. Go enjoy your life.
@almarodel
Magic mouthwash from compounding pharmacy & do baking soda
& salt in warm water rinses (boil water first & cool)
For appetite:
“A Good Day” medical marijuana gummies - just a 1/4 gummy to start, and mirtazapine at night
Try to eat bananas & cream of rice in am w/cream.
You’re very fortunate to have a great drug for EGFR.
And congratulations! Ring that bell 3 times well!!
@fightingbluehen69
Thank you! I use miracle mouthwash and it’s good but only last temporary, salt water works for a little time. I have not tried it with baking soda.
Right now I have two ulcers on my tongue & one in the left back corner of my mouth that are very painful.
I am very grateful for this drug and will continue on with my treatment”One day at a time”! Thanks for your suggestions!💕
@almaroMy wife was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer which spread to her brain. She had two different rounds of radiation to her brain. She was put on Tagrisso 80mg and after three years and five months she is showing NED no evidence of disease. The side effects are kicking her but, balance issues loss of appetite and diarrhea. The punishment definitely fits the crime. Thank god for Tagrisso and her team of doctors at Mayo.

3 ReactionsI’ve only been on Tagrisso 80 for a couple months. I’m grateful for it as I’ve just dropped chemo after combo cycle 3 due to bad side effects. My side effects on Tagrisso are very minimal. I brush my teeth with Arm & Hammer toothpaste and rinse with baking soda and water and my mouth does pretty good. Use lots of lotion for dry skin. I’m hoping your posts don’t mean side effects get worse the longer I’m on it, since it’s my only treatment currently.

There’s also sucralfate, coats esophagus. We just got that. Yes the magic mouthwash doesn’t last long, but the baking soda rinse after eating really works well! I like Aveeno baby eczema products and Cerave cream- both are unscented and soothing for dry skin. Asking for an extra liter of fluids at infusions does help as well.
