Syringomyelia and ADD connection

I was diagnosed with syringomyelia and later AdD. Does this diagnoses could be connected to each other?

I do t believe there is a connection of ADD/ADHD and syringomyelia. ADD/ADHD is neurodevelopmental and syringomyelia is a tied to the spinal cord. My teen son has ADHD.

Here is a Mayo Clinic link to information about syringomyelia.

@cmiller1029 I searched using Google scholar and was unable to find any medical literature associating the two conditions. Syringomyelia is a malformation of blood may be caused by heredity or trauma. The causes of ADHD are truly unknown at this time, although there are dozens if not hundreds of hypotheses. None of the extensive reading I have done posits any link with syringomyelia, or even with the circulatory system

It's more a matter of it being a Venn diagram type of situation - an indirect connection or overlap of conditions. Not a matter of causality.

Syringomyelia may be either a blood vessel malformation (Chiari) or a malformation of the ventricular spaces within the spinal cord (spinal syringomyelia). Both are more common among people with connective tissue disorders like Ehlers Danos Syndrome (EDS).

People with ADD and other types of neurodivergence are more likely to have connective tissue disorders. Yes the systems affected with these seem to be primarily brain function, but there are actually broader issues that can occur in this population.
