SVT and perimenopause

Posted by mitchellynn @mitchellynn, 3 hours ago

I've had SVT for 10+ years. I used to only have an episode once or twice a year. My heart would go over range from 180-235. I have not found any success in stopping it at home and have always ended up in the ER. I have now had 3 episodes in 4 months. This morning I noticed that is has been 113 days since I've had a period. Coincidence I'm not sure? I'm in Alaska so I feel that my care is limited. There are only 4 EP in the whole state. They are suggesting an ablation and am wondering if this is my best choice based on possibly caused by hormones. Also I've had friends struggle with hormone replacement therapy during perimenopause. Anyone else have increase in SVT at this stage in life? Treatment options? Thanks in advance.
