SVP: Electrophysiologist NJ/PA/NYC
I would be deeply grateful for recommendations of electrophysiologists in my region. I am a 75 year old woman in very good health who has recently been diagnosed with SVT. I live in Central NJ and most of my physicians are at Penn in Philadelphia. I am able to go to New York City and Philadelphia independently, so please consider the whole tri-state area (NJ/PA/NYC) as my region, with emphasis on PA since travel there is somewhat easier than NYC. I thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Is Cleveland out of the question, or any of the Cleveland Clinic satellites (I don't know the institution, just the rep of a really top-tier EP)? If you can manage that trip, Dr. Pasquale Santangeli.

1 ReactionI'm in Central NJ too. Ocean County. My EP is in Shore Heart Group. Dr. Edmund Karam.

Been with him for about three years. Had a loop recorder installed as soon as I became a patient to keep track of my afibs.
For two years on flecainide which stopped working just recently. Waiting for an ablation to be scheduled. Also keep in mind that Deborah has a few branches outside of their Browns Mills Hospital site.
I use De Rob Sangragoli at Penn Doylestown. He and his partner started the electrophysiology program. Doylestown Hospital was one of the hospitals chosen to pilot PFA. He has been doing them for several years. My husband had one a year ago and has been great since after having three regular ablations. I highly recommend him.
@yab Thank you so much for this information! I wish you the very best on your ablation and continued good health.
@wews Thanks for this great input! It makes me feel more even confident in the Penn system in general, particularly in Pennsylvania. I have not been greatly impressed with the Princeton components.
