Suspicious osseous lesions on CT

Posted by hpetty @hpetty, 7 hours ago

I was diagnosed with RCC 12 years ago and have NED after partial nephrectomy. I recently developed almost constant right flank pain, that was occurring without evidence of infection or stones. I requested a CT of my abdomen and pelvis with contrast through the VA. That was done a week ago. The provider called me on Friday to say there was nothing concerning, she did mention a fatty liver with mild enlargement and a small stone in my right kidney but that everything else looked good. The report finally posted yesterday in my VA medical records. She failed to address several things..
1. Suspicious osseous lesions (report didn’t say where so I’m assuming my spine)
2. Multifocal cortical scarring of the left kidney
3. Sub centimeter hypodensity in the left kidney inferior pole that was too small to accurately characterize but likely a cyst (which is how the cancer was initially characterized in my right kidney).

I trying not to freak out, but I feel that these things need to be addressed in depth given my history of cancer and the amount of pain I am in. Am I wrong?
