I came across this on Facebook and I think it's very valuable for all to know. Doctors rarely recommend many supplements simply because they are not regulated, not because they get paid off by the pharmaceutical companies. This is something we have to be very careful and conscious of.

Supplements can be dangerous. I have heard of far too many problems from using them. This does not pertain to all supplements. I assume if they have the USP seal on them that they have been approved and are safe, at recommended levels -- key there, recommended levels.

I understand and feel for you. My anemia cannot be corrected and the b12 But this is very good for you so keep taking it. I have just come home this afternoon from being in the hospital for three days. Pain heart bad I thought it was a heart attack. 911 works. After a few tests and the pain (horrible) left me after about15 hours later. Stress test was normal so was another test. Appears it could very well be from the anemia which is so low that if not enough oxygen gets to the heart from what is in the blood this can very well happen. Who knows? "The Shadow knows." I wound up in the hospital a few years back. Started with getting dizzy when at the Y and doing exercises on the mat. Then it progressed to shortness of breath, then it progressed to chest pain and I thought I was going to have a heart attack so drove myself to the ER and they did blood work and said we are going to admit you. I asked why. He said your blood is down to 5.5. So had a blood transfusion, and two bags of iron. Evidently I was bleeding internally, but it was such a slow bleed I never saw blood. I do have AVM's and that was what was bleeding. Now I can't take aspirin, nor my Celebrex for Arthritis so live in pain with arthritis. I found out that I had AVM's and asked the doctor about them, and all he said was they could bleed but didn't mention I might not see blood. So with my blood being 5.5 and they want you in the teens the nurse at the ER said I'm surprised you are walking. I remember asking my hubby if I looked pale and he said NO! After finding out, now I can't trust how I look anymore. I just started having some issues and thought it could be the blood again but it isn't.

I understand all you said in your post. Some good news is: After a while (however long it takes) your body will (hopefully) heals.

I am now in stage four with the CKD chronic kidney disease. Not good. Wish I could go to a different nephrologist. But their group is a monopoly in my county.

Good for you! Keep up whatever you're doing and fuss all you want. Get it out of your system, then you can enjoy and live with a smile. I happen to be in the fussy stage right now, mainly 'cause I feel lowsy and have junk going on, but this will pass at least for a bit and I will smile and enjoy every minute available to me...doggone it!

I know how to to fix fussy.
So you feel lousy. I’ll have you feeling better in no time or at least you won’t care if your sick.
How about a Reeses peanut butter cup cheesecake with hot fudge and caramel sauce drizzled generously on top with whipped cream and more sauce, nuts and whatever else sounds good.

I agree with JK (@contentandwell) regarding supplements.
My aunt took scads of vitamins & minerals and I believe that's why her heart literally fell apart in the surgeons hands.

@jakedduck1 The black box warning has been taken off of Forteo and will be shortly taken off of Tymlos. There has never been a problem in humans and the amount given to the rats was quite large. Forteo can now be used for an indefinite amount of time ----- if you can afford it. I am on Tymlos and with my Medicare, it's costing me a bit over $560 a month, which frankly is a sacrifice. I also looked into Forteo and it cost almost twice as much!

Of course after you get off of these drugs your bones will revert to losing mass, that's what they do naturally as you age, it's not an effect of the drug. These drugs build up the bone so they can then be maintained at that better level. From everything I have read and heard they do definitely help with bone mass, DEXA scores almost always increased considerably.

I also for some reason don't really trust Dr. Brown, she seems too commercial to me. She's in this for the monetary compensation.
