Sudden hearing loss, tinnitus, pressure but not while lying down
Six months ago I experienced sudden hearing loss in my left ear and diminished hearing in the right one. No definite event, just suddenly sound of screaming cicadas in both ears out of the blue. The ent I saw put me on 20 day prednisone regimine (oral) but like most everyone else, that didn't get rid of tunnitus nor bring my hearing back. Had the MRI which came back "clean" (nurses word) so went to audiologist and was fit with a cross fit hearing aid set up. That does give me hearing on my left side and amplifies hearing on right. However still have severe tinnitus in left ear and constant pressure on both ears. Feel and sound like a constant head cold….all day long.
But, when I lie down in bed at night the tinnitus quiets and pressure goes away!
Until I'm up and start moving around for the day. Does anyone else experience this??
