Subjective reports regarding ED options?
70 year old with mild 3+3 Gleason. Issues with ED. Urologist discounted evaluation and treatment for possible low T as he says Testosterone would fuel the low grade cancer. Tried PD-5 inhibitors with limited success. Really not even aware of erections at night or in the am anymore. Have read a daily dosage of Viagra or other PD-5 inhiabitor often helps rejuvenate "tired old tissues". What about penile Ultrasound to determine organic problems? What about the P-shot? Am thinking if the "hardware" is not working optimally, the PD-5 inhibitors or even Trimix injections may not work well either. Urologist stated he does not do Penile Ultrasound or use P-shots. Searching for advice from other guys who have been there!

My ED is a result of peripheral neuropathy.
I tried all the pills without success.
Trimix works great for me.

Thanks for the response. When I attempted to share my theory of 7 year use of Gabapentin for chronic back pain, as the cause of my ED problems, my urologist strongly disagreed, and stated his opinion was my use of 2 different Blood pressure meds, and a cholesterol medication. I don't know what to believe, as my family practitioner thought the issue was more related to me being 70 years old. Anyone else with a thought?

I know a man who developed ED after he started BP meds but although Gabapentin can cause ED, and there are plenty of studies validating but I think it's anybody’s guess.
I believe a neurologist would agree it can cause ED.
Do you have peripheral neuropathy?

1 ReactionI have no peripheral neuropathy. Like I said, the urologist claims its the BP and Cholesterol meds, but the family physician claims it is more related to being 70 and not 30 anymore. Who do you believe?

I'm inclined to go with the urologist but maybe it's a combination of them all.
I'm not familiar with blood pressure meds. Are there some that don't cause sexual side effects?

Well I notice that the longer I go to my PCP the more they "tune" out when your trying to get your point across to them ... if you have any long term issues like me diabetes etc .. quick to blame it on that ... I checked and found out 5 of the 16 med's I take can cause ED .. in the end had a stroke and nothing helped .. had an implant done 6-2023 so med's are no longer an issue ..
