Stomach and digestive health

My H Pylori was cured using antibiotics. I also take pantaprazole for Chronic Gastritis and to keep the acid under control. I also had a bleeding ulcer repaired via endoscope. I eat a low acid diet all the time. No booze,soda, lot's of water. No aspirin or Ibuphrofen. Cut out any spicey foods. Good Luck!

an infection started In the lg intestines causing two fistulas to bury though the anal muscles cause two external abscesses to burst which now leaks puss and fecal matter all the time.
Which would be treatable except for the ulcers that were found during the colonoscopy which have been biopsied awaiting results but doc says most likely crohn disease
Therefore he doesn’t want to treat the two fistulas due to complications with the underlining disease
Highly likely to cause Incontinence
Extremely painful bm extremely restricted diet and no hope …

Try to hang in there man,digestive issues can be horrible, nobody understands this unless they have them. Tell your doctor the hopelessness you feel, Hopefully he or she can give you some positive hope .

You need to get this H Pylori cured. Anyone with this has a higher chance of getting stomach cancer.

I have been having bloating and gas in my stomach. My doctor had a Cat Scan performed, and said it showed no tumor or easily fixed condition. He said "the stomach wall shows atrophy and that is probably the reason for my bloating and stomach distension".. But, he offered no advice on what, if anything, I could do about that. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi @2hobbits and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. How long has this been going on? Did he start you on any antibiotics to combat bacteria that may be causing it? Were you meeting with your doctor about something else or was this your main complaint?

Almost 3 years ago I had h pylori in addition to diverticulitis infection. I was treated for diverticulitis first then antibiotics for h pylori. I also did computer research on h pylori and supplements. What was suggested was Mastic Gum, Manuka honey and DGL. Between the antibiotics and the supplements it got cured.
