Hello everyone, my daughter began suffering from very specific symptoms 3 years ago after a trip to Mexico. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, weight loss, chronic/debilitating fatigue, spontaneous uticaria wheals (skin rash), chronic acne after 2 rounds of failed Accutane. After multiple doctor visits over 3 years, too many tests to list, so many blood vials drawn I am surprised she has any blood left. WE FINALLY HAVE A DIAGNOSIS!!!! The original endoscopy showed Eosinophilic esophagitis EOE of an unknown origin. Original biopsies were negative for H. Pylori. 2 years later they did a repeat endoscopy and her biopsy is positive for H. Pylori. I am praying she will improve over the next 2 weeks. Never give up, there is a diagnosis out there, you have to keep looking.

Hi @bkarateew I am so happy that your daughter was finally diagnosed correctly. You'll see I moved your post to a discussion where one of our members went through the same thing. We tend to group like posts together so the members can connect and bond over shared experiences.

Do the doctors have an explanation as to why it took so long to positively diagnose her?
