The new med is Docetaxel followed by a shot of Pegfilgrastim tomorrow. Anyone familiar with this ?

Hello @clairemayo, I hope your treatment went well today. I did find a previous post about Docetaxel in the prostate cancer group. Obviously dosing and side effects may be different for your case, but there are some responses here that may be helpful. https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/docetaxel/
How did the day go? Were the oncology nurses able to provide any tips, or side effects to watch for?

The nurses answered my questions and said to use Claritin 10 to help with flu like symptoms. Some bone pain may occur but maybe not it depends. The shot itself was mostly painless.
Thanks

@clairemayo, I thought I'd pop in to say hi and see how you are doing.
In this related discussion, @manorbier @carlies @loula @rubysue talk about their experiences with Taxotere (docetaxel).

How are you doing with the new treatment? I look forward to learning more about your lung cancer journey.
