Skin irritation around the stoma
Has/had anyone had severe skin irritation around the stoma that you just can’t get to heal? I’m using the powder as advised but it doesn’t seem to be helping all that much. It’s quite painful at times.
Any suggestions?

@susanf8 Does this mean you use one Eakin StomaWrap for two separate occasions?

1 Reaction@piki Yes, I divide it in half and use half for each change. I roll lengthwise so it's twice as thick.

3 ReactionsOne thing that's helped me at times with mild irritation is Flonase (generic is fine), sprayed around the stoma and allowed to dry. As the stoma nurse here explained, it's a very mild steroid and can help with skin irritation.
