Shoulder/bicep pain

Posted by dkg0727 @dkg0727, Feb 26 12:56pm

I have fallen a couple of times before I had my knee replaced and landed on my right side and really hurt my shoulder. Have gone through therapy for it but my shoulder down in to my bicep is still really hurting....so much so that if I try to lift anything it of carry anything with any weight the pain is just so bad. I have used 2 jars of Emu Oil Cream on the shoulder/bicep area in like 2 months.....using 2-3 times a day. Any ideas as to what else I can try to get some relief?

Thank you

PT might help, ask your doctor for a PT referral

@dkg0727: I feel your pain! I started having progressive shoulder pain accompanied by limited range of motion last month. While PT may certainly help, it’s important to understand the underlying pathology- or reason- for your pain. In my case, I had an Xray last week and will be undergoing an MRI next week to see if the rotator cuff has a tear. Do you have an orthopedist or primary care doctor you can see about this?

Try a high potency CBD cream. I have also used Voltran (OTC) down my upper arm, where ever there's a sore spot. A chiropractor or physical therapist who has an ultrasound machine can also be helpful. Good luck

Especially since you had a fall you should have imaging done on the shoulder if it hasn't been done yet. I had cortisone shots probably 20 years ago for terrible shoulder pain. Pain started to be bad over 6 months ago, did PT and finally some MRIs. I just had a PRP injection less than a week ago to hopefully help heal some wearing and possible tears.
