Does anyone find that some kinds of shoes work better for balance for Parkinson's?

@missbutterfly2be. That's a really good question. I don't have any suggestions for shoes but I do have suggestions for who to ask. Do you have a physical therapist that you work with? I've received helpful suggestions from a PT I worked with several years ago when I had foot problems. I'm also thinking that a podiatrist would be a good resource for suggestions for shoes for a person with Parkinson's. Neither of these professionals will try to sell you or make a profit from a particular brand of shoe which is why I'm suggesting medical and health professionals for advice.

I have not been diagnosed with Parkinson's but my oldest sister has had it for 10 years. Went we talked years ago she told me about how her feet hurt when she told me about Parkinson's diagnosis. I have had 2 transplants since 2000 and in 2018 my feet started to hurt. It got bad, so I searched around for comfortable shoes. I come across the brand "Skechers". They have different styles with varing firmness and softness. I found a retail and a wholesale store so I can try the many options. I find " tied" shoes are
better than slip-ons. Plus I take a prescription pregabalin twice daily that is suppose to help with the pain.
