Severe weakness and fatigue with Kevzara?

Posted by sfink @sfink, Apr 17 3:34pm

I did a dumb thing. Went off anti depressants ( Welbutrin wasnt helping with depression and fatigue anyway) and started Kevzara about the same time, a little over one month ago. My fatigue weakness and dizziness have become overwhelming. Rheumy says it's not from Kevzara, yet the paperwork says it can cause this. I am not functioning on any level. Now headaches and diarhia. Went to regular doctor, lots of tests, and they dont know but suggest I go back on Welbuttin. Of course that will take weeks to kick in. Suggestions appreciated.

I found your post to be very interesting! I was diagnosed with PMR 5 years ago and GCA in October of 2025. I am going to have my 6th Actemra IV infusion this week. I am struggling with very weak legs, dizziness and headache 24/7, discomfort in one arm and the rib cage area, and diarrhea! My rheumatologist basically told me that weak legs, headache and dizziness are not his area of expertise and I should see neurology. The situation is quite depressing! Can anyone relate to what I have described or have suggestions or comments? Thanks!!

@hermantown Hi There. No diarrhea, but I do have very weak legs, headache (constant), and dizziness. I certainly understand feeling depressed. Everything hurts. People and doctors say, "Go exercise! That's your problem!" Hard to do when you feel terrible everywhere! The pain in the arm and rib cage is scary! Hang in there fellow sufferer!

I started on kevzara about 10 months ago, diagnosed 11 months ago, after slowing weaning off prednisone no longer taking. Unfortunately, I have started taking BP meds and cholesterol meds. Prior to taking BP meds had issues with dizziness, weakness, and headaches. Try to exercise daily and drink a lot of water. Good luck everyone! Not a fun illness to have....
