Anyone had severe neuropathy after chemo?
Has anyone had severe neuropathy after chemo, mine is so bad they put me on lyrica and it still doesnt combat it. If you have what did you do?

I do think that yes you need to figure out by yourself what works for you. Unfortunately it seems many medical professional do not have time.
my thinking is that the medical world address the side effect of medication by other medication because it is what they know which work the best. It is not that they do not want to help or are not concerned, they just do not know any other way.
I am 65 years old and did not see a doctor since I was a kid. Last year I decided to do a check up and discovered a tumor, so suddenly I entered the medical world.
I have the most wonderful doctors, nurses and medical professional around me. Yet I question everything they offer for my conditionI chose to do or nor to do some medication and I have made so much research on my own, which also brought me to some site like the Mayo Clinic which I adore. People can share, ask questions and learn from people’s experience.
For some reason today when I saw your comment I realized that a lots of people who participate, like you and I, are people who search for help or information. There is only a few people for whom all the treatment went well who are on those sites. So we do not know if one of those person did or do something who could help all of us. We have to remember there is millions of people who live a good life with mild or no side effects, most importantly we need to find the strength to continue to search for a solution to our condition and not give up.
To give you an exemple, I refused to have the infused medication for nausea they give before Folfox infusion. I followed suggestions, in different site including medical site, of ginger tea made fresh with ginger roots, acupressure down from the wrist and breathing exercise to relieve the nausea side effect. It does not totally take away the feelings of nausea, yet I did not vomit and That permit me to be able to eat well and not loose weight.
I hope that help, please don’t give up, keep looking and most important if you find something which help you share with people. Thank you
