PMR Experimenting with GLP-1, metformin, Jardiance Exercise

Since my last post, Experience with GLP-1, metformin, and Jardiance; and PMR
Posted by Sirref (@sirref), Jun 22, 8:45 pm. I have conducted self-experiments by stopping the use of Mounjaro and Jardiance. Both caused a quick return of PMR symptoms whenever paused, with full remission once restarted.
Over the past few months, I used AI and stored the information in NotebookLM, which has been helpful. A recurring theme is the "fire alarm analogy," which explains that the medication may be "turning off" the pain signal (the alarm sound) but not extinguishing the underlying inflammation (the fire), thus risking permanent damage. I see the damage caused by Methotrexate and corticosteroids over the years as doing more harm.
From my NotebookLM research, “Exercise stands as a cornerstone non-pharmacologic intervention for reducing inflammation and improving overall health. For an aging individual undergoing significant, medication-induced weight loss, a consistent exercise program is strategically important for both its direct therapeutic benefits and its role in mitigating age-related physical decline.”

Man GLP1’s do everything but give you your hair back. It has positive impact on excess Weight, Cognitive Decline, and now PMR.

I have RA. Had to stop Methotrexate years ago because my liver enzymes were off the chart.
