Self catheterization create blood, small particals almost each time.

Did you just recently start self-cathing? I experienced the same issue the first week after I started and was assured it was normal. It also was after I had a Urodynamics test. Other thoughts! The catheter is too big. I was started on a 16 which was too big. I now use a 12. Also the type of catheter. The original catheters I initially used were stiffer, although lubricated, and I was more concerned about contamination. Recommended by my medical supply company, I am now using VaPro Pocket by Hollister. It has made this process so much easier and safer IMO. The catheter is softer and more pliable, and is completely surrounded by a sheath and the actual catheter never comes in contact with your hands or the air as it only comes out from the plastic tip once inserted. This made life so much easier from a sanitary perspective. If this is not new to you, and ypu continue to experience the bleeding and tissue debris, maybe consider the size and the product. Have ypu reached put to your provider for input? Honestly, I still can’t believe I have to do this now, but the right product has made a world of difference and has reduced the amount of time it takes me to complete. Best wishes to you.

@catheterization 12 French flex is a great choice. I use Coloplast 12. Spedi cath soft. Great product and my initial samples were 14 stiff and difficult.
