One of my eyes has slight hypertropia meaning it focuses at a different level than the other eye. That was causing double vision when I was tired. It never occurred when I was younger since my eye muscles were stronger and compensated for it.
My optometrist diagnosed it and fit me with prism lenses that the optician custom made for my glasses. It completely solved the problem

that might be me too, most of my muscles are weak...multiple sclerosis, inactivity... prism glasses, though. just cannot imagine adding a third layer of pricing to my glasses. glare-free, thinner, sunglass, plus prism? can they do all that and leave me with enough to pay for food, housing, insurance, cable tv plus a million streaming services?

I’ve had two corner transplants and my vision is still so bad.. I have been put in so many eye drops that just have not worked.. I also have severe Migrain headaches that make me so sick almost daily.. I truly need some help, my quality of life is being taken from me..

Seeing double or having diplopia can be caused by any number of things. The basis for his conditioncan best be solved by consulting a developmental or what is also a Behavioral Optometrist

My wife recently started seeing double but only when looking to the right. This morning she was diagnosed with 6th cranial nerve (optic nerve) neuropathy in her right eye. The ophthalmologist said it should clear up in about 6 weeks with no treatment. Does anyone in this group have experience with this? Thanks, Bill

Sorry I was wrong, the optic nerve is not involved but rather the abducens (6th cranial nerve) which is involved with muscular movement of the eyeball.

I have diplopia (about 6 years now) and glaucoma. I had prisms added to my glasses which helped for about 3 years and then became ineffective. I was also dealing with glaucoma and eye surgery for that. I have to heal from that (it's taking a long time) and I will then address the diplopia with a surgeon. I hope to resole it. I am being extremely patient.
