Scar Tissue

Posted by ctz @ctz, Oct 13, 2023

Hello:
My name is Connie and I am 54 from Wisconsin. This is my second attempt as the first time I back out. My main concern is has anyone had any complications from scar tissue. I have had a hysterectomy and need a hernia repair and don't know what complications may arise if I add on bariatric surgery. I truly need to loose 150 pounds. I truly am thankful for this discussion board as there is so much knowledge that I am learning. Thank you all, Connie

Your stomach is much higher in abdomen then where your uterus was. I had multiple abdominal surgery years ago; hysterectomy, gallbladder and appendix. It did not have any impact on my Roux-en-Y. These are good questions for your surgeon.

I had RNY in 2016 . I had major damage from a previous adjustable gastric lap and which I had for 8 years. The major complications I had was adhesions
They were surgically removed as they incurred
