Scabs after head laceration and stiches

Hello all,
This is my first post.
I had an accident on my scalp and after removing some stiches 3 months ago I still have some scabs. Is this normal and how long does it take for the scabs to fall?

Thank you very much for your response and the link, very helpful. I received 13 stitches on scalp from falling down from having blacked out. I just find it strange that still after this long and still scabs reforming while sensitive along cut. Is it because it's on scalp and skin is thin? as I have not been applying anything except washing hair with a hypoallergenic shampoo.
