Salmonella

I got salmonella after going out to lunch at the end of September. I was hospitalized for 4 nights and 5 days. 2 ED visits prior to hospitalization. I was treated with antibiotics. I was still feeling bad after a few weeks. PCP sent me to GI doctor and infectious disease doctor. Infectious disease doctor did c diff test. I was positive and treated with vancomycin. Started feeling better after awhile. Then had gallbladder attack had a stent placed.

I’m still positive after months. I don’t know what to do. Infectious disease doctor said I should stay away from my senior club until I’m negative. I can’t go to work. I’m afraid to be treated with antibiotics again due to c diff. Any thoughts.
