magnus, I see chiropractors for SI adjustments. It's immediately effective for me and lasts about three days. It might work longer for you. I did have a lidocaine injection in SI that was good for about six hours.
I don't have deep pain so I think the rotation is shallow. It gets worse the longer I wait between chiropractors.
I hope you find relief.

What did the neurologist try. I'm sorry the chirpractor didn't help. It is such good relief for me. Is anyone telling you what your rotations are, or do they think it is arthritis. I did see a pain specialist who gave me the lidocaine and would have done radiofrequency to the nerve, if I hadn't opted out. Have you considered fusion of the joint. I don't know if I would, though sure would depend on the level of pain.
There is this new linq device that looks interesting.https://www.pa inteq.com/ https://tenonmed.com/
This is kind of interesting https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10666026/.
Then you might try physical therapy https://www.youtube.com/watch which I've had a lot of and like but don't get relief from. There is a class thrust adjustment for the joint but pts don't do it very often and it's never as good as the chiropractors.
Some people use SI belts, but I haven't had any success with them.
@magnus34, I have been searching for relief of a SI joint pain in one buttock; a dull deep pain that has kept me from walking around the block with my dog, at it's worst.
I sought SI joint orthopedic specialist in my area; I had to have a 1st injection of lidocaine, that was of little help, followed by a steroidal injection...which was negative help also. Frustrated, I started doing PT exercises and they have helped me to the point of 50-70% improvement. But I have to be vigilant (and have only been doing PT for 15 days).
I've read and watched a lot of chiropractors and what they say they can do and what you should avoid from them, in terms of "manipulating" the SI joint. It's a joint, they say, that needs little manipulation. I had a hip replaced on that side 10 years ago and wonder if that can create an issue. The orthopedic offices say if I want to MRI my lower lumbar, they might be able to find the cause of the pain...
There’s an S-I belt that can help while you wait for other modalities: It can help normalize S-I joint function, relieve lower back, hip, and leg pain, increase core strength, and help with mobility. You wear it under clothes, including underwear. The brand I bought is SEROLA, and it helped. Good luck🤞
S-I can take a long time (i.e., months) to completely resolve.

I have same type of pain. I took journavaux. It didn't help. Going to see a spine specialist. Dr. thinks it could be a pinched nerve. Best of luck to you

@gently thanks for your comment, I started with a Chiropractor with no positive results. Also tried a Neurological MD also poor results
