Ring of fire
I’ve struggled with addiction more than 30 years. My first business was a moving company, I’m 6’5” 280lbs so suited for the job. Never a big drinker or drugs didn’t like the way I feel high. I broke my back in 92, while healing My aunt gave me some samples she had of tramadol. back then not controlled and WOW they connected with my chemistry, never felt that good or had energy like that! Not only could I work but panic attacks that plagued me were gone too and for some reason! Next 20 years never missed a day without tramadol and lortab but never abused them, never went to oxys. I quit both about 10 years ago, it was such a fight to get them anymore after my dr retired. Unfortunately the anxiety and pain from a lifetime or abusing my body and 2 motorcycle was still there. I can’t keep a job, no one wants to deal with someone back going out. So I started to self medicate 🙁 Xanax and 7oh Turned last 10 years into a waste. Not sure why im writing this nothing anyone can do to help. I try to quit but even small tapering off hits so hard. I only take 1.5 mg Xanax day and 180mg 7oh. When u are so low going down further just seems impossible.

So why haven’t you sought out addiction help previously? It’s apparent you know you need some help but self medicating is not the answer. There are a lot of newer meds on the market that can help you overcome whatever you’re using but you need to find the right one. Doing this with an addiction specialist is a lot safer plus you’ll receive some psychological counseling as well, which you need or you wouldn’t have reached out to this site otherwise. You’ve had a long road and it will not change over night but please have some faith in yourself and the help you can receive to make your life better.

2 ReactionsI’m sorry for your pain. Our bodies can take lot…until they can’t. I’ve heard 7OH is a very difficult withdrawal because of its high concentration, and it can be dangerous to discontinue Xanax depending how much/how long you’ve been using. You can make this happen if you want to quit now. As previously mentioned, there are clinics that use other meds to help you get off these meds (crazy, right?). But it does help. I met someone just this week who is recently off 7OH using medical assistance. He said it was hard - but he was tired of being dependent and spending too much money and never felt good anyway. When you’re ready, do some research, ask for help. It’s never too late! Best of luck to you.
