Right Frontal Lobe Meningioma

Posted by gseaborn @gseaborn, 1 day ago

I was diagnosed with a right frontal lobe meningioma surrounding the blood vessels in February. It was an incidental find and was benign. But my doctor said they were going to take a wait and see approach since it was only 0.2 cm. He also said there were no symptoms that should come with it. It leaves me wondering, if I'll have to get surgery in the future. Has anyone had the same experience?

Hello,
.2 cm is pretty small. Watch and wait is a prudent approach. They will probably have periodic MRIs done to track growth, if any. I also had a right frontal lobe meningioma that was too large to not deal with immediately, so surgery it was. It’s too soon to be able to determine whether surgery would be required. I realize that knowing there is something in your head that shouldn’t be there is frightening. Hang in there and please get regular monitoring.
