Have anyone use Rick Simpson CBD to control or reduce the PMR pain? Thank you!

@tuckerp

I have PMR but my wife has cancer. (GBM). I give her the PURA RSO 50/50. She is not in any pain but the RSO helps relax her at night and she sleeps well. Does not answer your question about the RSO helping with PMR pain. I tried the gummies. It did not work for me.

Thanks for sharing your PMR lasted 6 months.... I always like to hear people's experience with, how long it lasted and what they did. Is different with everybody. My doc said that only 1/3 of her patients have PMR longer than 2 years. I pray for these people. This disease is so debilitating! I pray for the people suffering with condition.

I'm a very active person, I play at high level pickleball and train all the time. 4/5 times a week. One day at the end of Feb I woke up with pain in one shoulder, 3 days later pain on the other shoulder and 3 days after that on my hips. I went from very active to cripple.
6 months ago my youngest son passed away and I think the trauma caused this.

Thank you for your comment! I was hoping someone would have a positive opinion or experience with CBD. I hope I don't have to use them.
I'm very determined to beat this with 0 inflammation diet. My inflammation as per last week lab work is 11. I'll have another lab work in a week after I'm done fasting for 2/3 days.

Thanks again and best wishes to your wife.

@adrigibby, you've received some helpful feedback from others living with PMR. While not PMR specific, you may wish to review this related discussion:

Thank you! I do not take any meds at all and I will not. Today, after almost 3 months of eating 0 carb I notice a little bit of less pain.... we'll see tomorrow.

Thanks for your comment!.

If you are looking for dietary options, my rheumatologist recommended gluten free, green tea, and dairy free…

Thank you! For the last 3 months I've been on a 0 carb diet. I will add green tea to see what happen.

Yesterday I had blood work for inflammation and the numbers were perfect but the pain still unbearable.

That is so interesting. My lab work is also perfect regarding inflammatory markers and does not reflect my symptoms…

I have read that 1) once the inflammations numbers go to normal it could take a few months after that for any autoimmune to go away.
2) If inflammation is not the cause of the pain/symptoms it could be something else going on.
I've been suggested that the grief and pain after my dear son died 6 months ago could be the reason of my polymyalgia, emotional trauma could do it, so now I'm on a quest to learn how to overcome the symptoms.
My doctor told me that most of her patients get over it after a year, 1/3 of patients have the disorder longer than 2 years. I can't imagine... I came down with this last week last February and the idea of another month with this is overwhelming!
