Regular bleeding 10 years after menopause

Posted by grumpyoldlady @grumpyoldlady, Dec 15, 2025

Towards the end of my periods I had an endometrial abulation after my doctor insisted I stop taking the pill despite telling him it would result in a blood bath each month. It did hence the surgery which worked for about 6 months then the bleeding returned with a vengeance. Luckily menopause came along eventually and for roughly 10 years no problems. The earlier this year spotting started. After the second time I was booked in for a hystio???? and d&c. That was in June and I was told everything was okay. Since then every 2nd month I have had cramps and bleeding, getting heavier each time. Last time lasted 12 days. Doctor was not overly concerned when I told him. Tonight it has started again only a month after last time. Does anyone have any advice I can throw at the doctor when I see him again Friday so I don't just get fobbed off again.

@laura1970 no doubling up since menopause and just pads since. I'm not working so able to make multiple trips to the loo so don't have to use so many pads cos they're so uncomfortable
