Does anyone have a solution to help manage Reclast side effects?
Does anyone have a solution to combat Reclast side effects. I had the infusion a year and a half ago and the side effects started shortly after I had the infusion. I still have weak legs, swelling in feet, pain in bones, dizziness (serious dizziness), cold sweats, tired all the time and nervous twitching in bones. Any suggestions?

I am always concerned that I will lose the gains I've made. Take care and you may want to research the recommended time lapse between drugs.
Most people dont. Hydrate and have them put it oin slowly
Maybe steroids?
I've had 3 infusions and in ostepenia for a couple years. Last dexa showed an area in my spine is teetering on op so I'm getting another one tomorrow morning. Everywhere else is still in ostepenia. I will as I have in the drink loads of water keep kidneys flushed, take Tylenol prior to and after plus benadryl afterwards. I've never had a reaction with any of them. Take calcium D3,k2mk7,magnesium, collagen b complex.
My wife has the exact same symptoms as dingus. It's been a month ago since she had the Reclast infusion and the symptoms still persist. Shaking, weakness and pain in the joints. Doe's anyone know of permanent damage that this drug causes?
rambol,
my inadequate understanding is that the side effects are not permanent but are an inflammatory response to the medication that becomes self sustaining. It can be devastating especially in older people because it becomes very difficult to exercise and we can quickly become deconditioned. For those who have this response, it usually lessens gradually.
You might see if her doctor will prescribe a corticosteroid. Steroids are hard on the bones. But I've read that a five day course is less harmful to the bones than long term inflammation.
It's so difficult to see her suffer. I'm glad she has you fighting for her.
I had Reclast infusion about 2 years ago. They told me you will probably feel some mild pain in the next 3 days, which I expected. However, ten days after the infusion, I awoke to severe all over pain where I could not move out of my bed. Called my endocrinologist and she claimed she never heard of this but she ordered out a prescription for 100 mg of Tramadol. It took a week to get some relief from that high level of pain in every joint! It was like a poison infusion to me and I will never, ever have that infusion again. Now that I’m reading others reaction to it, I know it’s not a good thing for people to have.
I agree! I had the Reclast injection followed by such severe pain, I could not get out of my bed. Called my Endocrinologist and she said she never heard of this kind ofvreaction! She ordered a Prescription of 100 mg of Tramadol. It took me over a week to receive rate from this severe joint pain. I will never, ever take it again. Seems like poison to me. After I’ve read other’s reaction to Reclast, I know I was not the only one.
I don’t know why they give this to people!!
It sounds as though it was "not a good thing" for you to have. I value hearing your experience since I am considering reclast. I am interested in asking for a much lighter dose over a lengthy infusion.
I think it is because some people have none, very few of the side effects that you have had. I am grateful to have a report of your experience.
