Recast infusion concerns
Bone density and osteopenia I want to know if it is wise to take a Recast infusion after taking Alendronate for over five years. Alendronate is no longer working. I have seen two doctors on You Tube recommend not taking Alendronate or Recast for more than five years.
the fact that it is in my system for a year even if I have the symptoms is concerning.
How much help is oral bone broth?

If you go to the top of this page you will see an image of a magnifying glass. Use that to type in reclast or alendronate. There will be a long list of discussions with lots of information that may help
Have you taken an anabolic bone medication such as forteo, tymlos or Evenity yet.
They are considered bone building drugs? What kind of doc do you see for osteoporosis, PCP, endocrinologist?
It is important to do your own research so that you can be an advocate for your health. Lis if I information and sharing of direct experience here.
Sequencing of these meds is quite important. A bisphosphonate prior to taking an anabolic can have a blunting effect on the anabolics.
@gravity3 do you know if there's a time frame after a bisphosphonate that taking an anabolic is no longer blunted? If it's been a year since an infusion and only one year on the bisphosphonate?
@carmenl
Someone here may know about that. The operative word here is "can". What does your provider say about sequencing? What field of medicine is your provider in?

2 ReactionsHow would bone broth help?
I doubt bone broth alone would be effective.
