After reading nearly all of the posts in this support group, what we all need is a productive way to channel these long covid symptoms, yet without worsening the much felt fatigue, and to help provide personal support at the same time. Believe me, it does now take hours just to get ready for bed. A break is needed after brushing alone.
At the top of our steps is a picture that reads, When Life Gives You Scraps, Make Quilts. Being a male almost 50, with no more driving ability, has prompted this posting.
With just a little bit of effort, quilting can help to provide a new routine during the day. Starting with only a few minutes a day, then taking a break as needed. We are not talking complete quilts here, only a few stitches or maybe just learning to press a seam. There are many helpful and colorful used books available now. One such is American Quilts And How To Make Them, by Carter Houck & Myron Miller. It is full of bold drawings with clear explanation.
When you have no more tears to cry, and you are just too tired to scream anyhow, it might be worth a try learning. If you should find that with a bit of practice, the world dissolves and your pain dissolves a little bit too, and those mountains start to move a little, you will be on the right track.
