Questions if you feel like answering

Posted by diverdown1 @diverdown1, 1 day ago

I want to know a couple of things and if anyone is willing to answer, that would be great. I am going from my own experience, however I am curious as to you folks.
1) How long after you had Covid did you get Long COVID.
2) Have you had a lot of stress and/or trauma in your life?
3) Would you say you were healthy before you got COVID?
4) Have you had depression in your lifetime?

Just for clarification, I answered "yes" to all the questions.

Thank you in advance. Hang in there!

1. Day of Covid shots 1 and 2 in 2021 had reactions. Heart attack and difficulty breathing symptoms 2 weeks later and 2-4 different heart attack “events” and downhill from there. Had bad case of Covid in 2022 and close to hospitalization due to breathing difficulties but paxlovid given day 5 which helped prevent.
2. Yes, definitely.
3. Healthier for sure before Covid shots/covid.
4. Yes, but worse postpartum, during/after perimenopause and menopause and Covid.

I got LC ~6 months after my 3rd case of covid. I was fully vaccinated which i believe has something to do with LC (just my opinion/gut feeling). No stress/trauma. I was completely healthy before LC - yearly physicals with no issues at all. Must have had a strong immune system since I hadn't had any illness (cold/flu etc.) since the 1990's. No depression. Hope this helps....

1. I started with long covid about a month and a half after my 2nd bout of covid in 2023. Both my covid episodes were very mild and I was vaccinated.
2. I have had a lot of stress in my life due to multiple life circumstances, but no trauma.
3. I considered myself in good health prior to getting COVID/LC.
4. I definitely have suffered with bouts of depression most of my life.

1) I never really got over Covid when I had it the fourth time (!). The cold symptoms went away, but the fatigue and other symptoms never did.
2) I don't think I've had more stress or trauma than usual.
3) I was super-healthy until 2 weeks after my first Covid vaccine in June 2021 - was on a swing dance team, directed a choir, and taught middle and high school. After the vaccine, I developed heart issues, but with lots of help from specialists and experimental treatments, I was doing much better again in summer and fall 2023 before I got Covid in December 2023 and ended up with Long Covid.
4) No real depression. I had some mild low-grade depression when I was a young adult, but that was 35-40 years ago now, and I haven't had depression since.
