Tips on how to follow pureed diet while at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN?

I am traveling to Mayo Rochester by plane. I am on a strict pureed diet. Will we need to purchase a high speed blender once we get to Mayo as carrying ours will be difficult and traveling blenders are not strong enough. Any Pureed purchases somewhere possible

Few suggestions:
1. Check with your hotel if they have a blender available to borrow.
2. You might also check with Mayo's free Concierge Services. They may of know of resutrants that can handle special request.

Thank You for your quick response. We travel by air so we only bring a carry on. This is our fourth visit to Mayo Rochester but I was able to eat before. We did check with the Staybridge and the Concierge but neither had suggestions. I guess what we will do is purchase a blender on-line and have it sent directly to the Staybridge and donate it for other guests who may need it at sometime. We are so fortunate our insurance plan covers a lot including food so we use Instacart when we come. My husband comes up with creative soups and such for me and
good meals for himself. For a treat I love cheese cake and lemon meringue pie. I eat the soft parts and he eats the crust!! Any local suggestions for places to order fromto replace our usual Bunny Cake treat ? We love Rochester MN and the solid people we have met. Thanks for being one!

I recommend Canadian Honker especially their dessert. Perhaps you could call restaurants and ask if they will purée part of an order. As far as ordering a blender a word of caution about my experience with Amazon delivering to Homewood Suites in Rochester. I ordered an ice machine to be delivered to Homewood with expected delivery on Friday. Friday came and went and so did Saturday. Saturday night I chatted with Amazon to cancel the machine which hadn’t even shipped since I needed it for surgery on Monday and my drive back to IL on Tuesday and was told a refund would take 7-10 days. Ordered another one that was delivered to the hotel and waiting for me at the hotel on the day of surgery. Amazon shipped the original machine the day I left Rochester and it was a whole fiasco getting a refund for the first machine. This was end of June 2026. Target same day delivery may be a better option to ensure your blender is waiting for you when you arrive at your hotel.

I agree with @momma2lucy about Canadian Honker being a good option. They have consistently helped me with my varying eating trends through the years, and they are also right across the street from St. Marys Hospital. I am a fan of their fresh squeezed orange juice.

Thank You for this information.. Very helpful. Target's one day delivery will work. Just checked .. They have what we need. Really grateful. Another small but significant hurdle down..

Another good idea.. We used to order from them when I could eat regularly.. Now that I think of it .. I can just taste their mashed potatoes with a bit of gravy... Easily blendable and a treat.
I can get my protein drinks and other standby's but am going for Canadian Honker doables too. Thanks for the heads up.
