Pulsing light until adjusted to lighting
This started a few weeks ago, does not happen every time.
I notice it most when transferring from light to dimness, or if I go from a brightly lit room to one with dim light, such as only a desk lamp.
My vision pulses as if attempting to find the correct iris opening and over compensating then reversing until I stabilize. I still see fine in very dim light, but now takes time to adjust after a few minutes.
What can it be, does it sound serious?

You need to get you eyes checked.
I just found out I have AMD Dry nonexudative.
I have some learning to do. What I noticed I need bright light to read, or make things out, soft light don’t work for me. I also noticed had trouble with blue and green, I like to play a game of bubble witch and I had trouble with blue and green. Plus a few other things.
Write things down and take your list with you.
Good luck
Consider undergoing a dark–adaptation test, which measures how long your eyes take to adjust to darkness—often used to detect or track AMD progression. One of the first symptoms of AMD is difficulty in adjusting from light to dark light.
You need to see a specialist for your answers. Although with early AMD there is just monitoring the condition and Areds2. A qualified low vision optometrist may help also.
