Feeling good and remaining positive.
My age is 64.
My Grandfather passed away from prostate cancer at 71. My dad had RP at 70 and is living well today at 93.
My PSA was 2.1 in Nov 2020. Then my PSA was 3.4 in Jan 2022. My MRI showed the tumour and confirmed there was no spread. I had a bone scan to make sure no spread.
My Biopsy showed a Gleason of 9 BUT no spread.
I started on hormone therapy in Aug 2022. Just finished 20 EBRT treatments with very few side effects. In Nov 2022, I will be starting on monthly blood work to track my PSA scores. My journey has been very positive. I feel lucky.
I am 68 and was diagnosed with Prostate cancer at 67. Initial PSA was 44. My Gleason score was also 9 however and it was determined that the cancer spread to my lymph nodes. Next, I had a RP as my prostate was encased by a cancerous tumor. Following that procure I went through 35 treatments of external beam radiation. I am on lupron with zytiga and praying for a positive future.
Just received my PSA results – two weeks after my last radiation treatment. It was 0.03 !!
Early in 2022 it was 3.4.
I am booked for blood work every 4 weeks for the next 6 months and hormone injection every 3 months for the next two years. All positive.
