Undetectable PSA & possible progression of cancer

I read an article that a new study show that an undetectable Psa level is not a true predictor of cancer not spreading that routine imaging should be done. Is anyone familiar with this new study.

I have not read this study. In contrast, the following: Proton radiation in 2010 at Loma Linda..PSA: 6.47 Gleason 3 plus 3; Slow growth PC. For about 8 years, PSA levels have been under 1.0. Then, the PSA began to rise to its current 12.47 as of April 2025.

Two MRIs in the last 15 months, followed by two PET scans in the last 15 months. The results show inconclusive prostate cancer. As some may know, the rating scale ranges from 1 to 4. My reading on both PET scans was 2. Therefore, inconclusive and I remain on watchful waiting. There are no other "indicators". All bodily functions are normal. The end state summary may include the fact each person's condition with PC is different, which results in a quandary of what treatment to consider. Therefore, make every effort to review all the options based on research and testing. The decision maybe the most important in life's journey. RH/Florida
