PRRT side effects and results
After my 2nd PRRT treatment I started having out of control erratic BP and Pulse also Heart skipping beats. I can’t touch my head or temples without pain it feels like my head is in a vise grip
I also did MRI of abdomen and pelvis tumors are still growing and multiplying
Has anyone else had this happen
Thank you

They give you medication for the nausea when you get the treatment
It worked for me I never had any nausea
Fatigue was bad the first couple of days
Just rest drink gallons of water or Gatorade Zero for some reason sugar made me feel worst
The results are worth it!!!!
I am stable now for 1 year
Good luck
Bring food a pillow slippers blanket and wear really comfortable clothes
It’s takes a long time

6 ReactionsI experienced fatigue for about 2 days, not to the point where I couldn’t function, not sure if it was directly affected by the treatment. I also get a respiratory reaction to the Ocreotide shots after the treatment so I have a double shot of Benadryl before the shot. .. And with the nausea meds they give I did not experience any nausea..

6 Reactions@vinnie694 thank you so much for the information. My husband’s oncologist has not been very helpful when discussing the impact of the side effects.

3 ReactionsI felt great till the nausea med injection wore off (48 hours). I was able to drive myself home (1 hour) after the treatment with no problem. However, I just felt “yuck” for 3 days. Tired, queasy, mild headache, no appetite. It wasn’t horrible, but not pleasant either. I took long naps, 2-3 hours. I was back to normal day 6.

I noticed today that most professionals limit the amount of information given (which is why I am prepared to ask a lot of questions, check Google, ChatGBT and anywhere where I can get a better understand of what's happening. I think these are just the times and we have to alter our expectations.
Good luck!
