@ricki8 It is the times where patients have access to internet and AI information that is frequently incorrect or not relevant. Not that long ago, patients didn't have Google, ChatGBT, or elsewhere to look up information. I have asked members of my care team how do they manage that with patients. They say that addressing incorrect or misinformation found by patients on the internet often takes up more appointment time than discussing tests results and treatment planning. I try very hard to never schedule any appointments at the end of the day for this reason. They are rarely on time. Also, the healthcare folks are frequently frustrated by then. They are human after all. I too prepare questions prior to my appointments, but I let the healthcare professionals talk first. I have found that most of my questions get answered. That allows way more time for me to ask the questions that don't. There is a balancing act in the doctor patient relationship that requires give and take on both sides like any other relationship. I try to remember that. I want to make sure that I get the best care possible.
