Anyone use a 3-day Prozac bridge to taper off venlafaxine (Effexor)?

Hi everyone
Desperate to know if anyone has came off venlafaxin, did the 3 day prozac gap and then start lexipro on forth day?
On day 3 of no venlafaxin and dying.

It will stop in a few days if you re-start the Effexor. My psychiatrist no longer prescribes Effexor or Paxil due to the excruciating and long discontinuation of these drugs.

@sears just curious, is there a reason to go off Effexor? I have been taking it for many years , 300 mg daily. It has always worked, with no side effects, but lately I have felt that I have built up tolerance to it. I feel very down and almost like I have nothing to live for. I don’t want to go through withdrawal just to go on something that doesn’t work. Has anyone taken more than 300 mg? Is there an additional drug I can take to boost the effectiveness?
