Prolia discontinuation
Hi, due to an osteoporosis diagnosis, I took two injections of Prolia six months apart and due two side effects, I want to come off of it. I do not want to transition to a bisphosphonate or remain on one. How do I take myself off of Prolia safely? I am not getting a straight answer from my doctor.

Prolia 3 shots
Bone density worse so terepeptide was the last resort. It’s so hard to tell what is causing what but my nail have definitely gone downhill. I’ve been on it 7 months
rosylnrosyln,
if there is little bone turnover upon taking Prolia the medication won't be deposited in your bone. We probably can't know about your bone turnover when you began Prolia because no one ordered bone markers. If the medication passed through your system, you may not be at risk.
Is there any way for you to get bone markers now?
Teriparatide is not usually given after Prolia because it doesn't stop the production of the acid eating cells.
So, it's a bit of a worry.
The effect of teriparatide takes a long while to show up in the bone or nails.
At seven months I swore they'd sold me office demo pens. Even at twelve months, I had little obvious change in BMD and that change was negative.
The TBS improved.
It could be that you have an overriding primary cause of osteoporosis. Bone markers and other testing would help figure that out.
Are you having other side effects with teriparatide
