Prolia and Evenity Together
Today my Endocrinologist recommended I continue taking Prolia, which I have been on for almost 4 years, along with Evenity for one year. I have severe osteoporosis with many fractures through the years. Has anyone else's doctor recommended taking both together?
Thank you.

Yes you are correct that is the sequence she wants me to follow . Apparently with 1-2 years of Prolia after Evenity you should not have that problem . The 1st 1-2 years you are building BMD after that you are not and then reclast to keep the gains in place . I will have my 1st Prolia injection the 1st week os September.
I was not aware they could be taken together. The usual protocol is Prolia or Reclast to follow Evenity to help maintain gains from Evenity.
Advertising may be why this combination is being recommended. Amgen manufactures both medications

I took them sequentially--last year Evenity with some success and now between the first and second shots of Prolia. No side effects and for some reason, pain in left hip has subsided. Will ask about this next doctor appt.
