Post op hysterectomy. 6 weeks in excruciating pian.

After attempting sex excruciating pain. went to ER. CT scan and ultrasound showed bowel in lower pelvic region, fluid leaking vaginally. Waiting now for Dr. visit. I'm suspecting cuff tear. If so, will this require a specialist for repair??

Oh no! I was told nothing in the vagina for 12 weeks.

@smeaston When was your hysterectomy? Like @sbryant my surgeon put a time frame on sexual intercourse. I saw my surgeon 6 weeks after the hysterectomy and she did a pelvic exam. She said at that time that my vaginal cuff was healing well. I was told to wait another 6 weeks before putting anything in my vagina, which included sexual intercourse.

If indeed there is a tear in the vaginal cuff I'm thinking you will need to see a physician for repair but I'm not a medical provider so I don't know if you will need to see a specialist. What speciality of doctor are waiting to see?
