Post craniotomy

I am 10 weeks post frontal lobe craniotomy. I am having some weird sensations and wondering if anyone else has had them.

Throbbing in the surgical area....is this the nerves coming back.

I’ve often wondered. The radiation oncologist likely made the better choice. (I was 74 and at that age, 8 more good years is a gift). He wouldn’t have known the rate of growth because the unknown tumor was removed in an emergency surgery. If he decided
on the surgeon’s report (I think I got it all.) or on the available radiation equipment or his previous experience with a similar case or just a coin flip, I
am maybe afraid to know.

I had a left sided craniotomy a year and a half ago. For six months the trigeminal nerve on the left side of my head would tingle. It was better at 3 months ,and then finally around 6 months I noticed it wasn't bothering me anymore.

Do you remember how long the numbness lasted?
I am developing throbbing in the number area and I am assuming it is the nerves/feeling coming back.
Also, i am having trigeminal tingling too.

tbusker: The only numbness I have experience is if I actually touch the top and left side of my head where the craniotomy scar is. Otherwise I don't notice that part of my head being numb.

The area of the craniotomy has been numb since my surgery. Definately getting better but I think the weird sensations are from me getting feeling back.
