Poked myself in eye, and then had Entropion after blepharitis cleaning

I'm 62, and I have blepharitis. I was about to do my usual cleaning and warm compresses on my lids when I accidentally poked myself in the eye with my finger on the outer and lower side of my sclera. It stung, and my eye got all bloodshot. So I waited a few hours for my eye to calm down and then proceeded with the cleaning and compresses. When I removed the compress on my poked eye, the lower lid had folded into the eye, and I could see the ends of my eyelashes sticking up against my eyeball -- I believe it's called entropion. It really freaked me out! I gently pulled down the lid, and it went back to its usual place. Is this something that can happen when an eye is irritated and the heat makes it worse? Or is this more serious? As far as I know, it hasn't happened again, unless while I was sleeping. Now I'm afraid to do my daily blepharitis treatment which will make my eye even more irritated. My eye doesn't hurt but there's still some minor discomfort where I poked it. What do you think?

Hello,
I was diagnosed with blepharitis about 5 years ago and the best product I have found is Ocusoft lid scrubs. There are several different formulations but the one that works for me is a leave-on formula so I don't have to rinse and irritate my eyes. To clean the inside of my lid I use a Q-tip and dampen it inside the product envelope. This has been a great system for me! https://www.ocusoft.com/ocusoft-lid-scrub-plus-pre-moistened-pads-30ctn

I’ve given up on the baby shampoo. Even when diluted, it irritates my eyes significantly. I use warm compresses and then gently scrub them well with a wet cotton swab.

...as an aside I was given (purchased) wipes for eyes for this condition but my fingertips are a bit numb and I already have dry eye drops and glaucoma drops and the instructions said to use the wet wipe lower eye"lid" between the lashes and the edge - honestly, I cannot see up close without my glasses on and also that is a very tiny thin area to wipe and it also said on directions, do not get into the eye! ...therefore I could not use them..... also just wanted to say I had read that some people using baby shampoo from the bottle whereas a dr was writing that it should be a drop mixed with water - knowing me I would get the shampoo into my already tender eyeballs! @lacy2 I only squeeze out a drop of baby shampoo onto my finger and wet that some more with a tiny bit of water and then wash the edges of closed eyes with the finger (s). its not perfect but does help clean .
