Point of Contact at Mayo Jacksonville for VetAdmin Referrals
Looking for a POC at the Jacksonville Clinic to move forward a Veteran Administration Referral to the Mayo Clinic for a Prostate Cancer treatment. After 20 calls I have failed to connect with anyone who can help me move the process along or tell me that anything is happening or supposed to happen. The VA fax'd the referral to Mayo-Jacksonville twice without any response in over a month. I was told by a Mayo person that the VA referral is sitting on my portal (but I can not see it) I have not been able to find any documentation on the process nor any person able to tell me who/how to push it along. Meanwhile the VA is waiting for the referral to be returned to be reviewed and approved. I'd like to understand "who" I need to contact beside the general Mayo telephone number and be routed around again and ended up at the 2nd Mayo tel number I had called earlier that same day.... Appreciate any info.

It sounds like you have a patient portal but have never signed up. You might want to try setting the patient portal up. Here's a link that to set it up - https://onlineservices.mayoclinic.org/dt/signup.

1 Reaction@bgjcl, how frustrating. It sounds like you have already made several calls to Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. If you haven't taken these steps, here's what I suggest:
1. Call the main appointment office in Jacksonville 904-953-0853
They should be able to track down the status of your referral.
2. If you need help with finding something on the patient portal, you can call Mayo Clinic Customer Assistance at 877-858-0398.
3. If you continue to run into obstacles, you can reach someone either at Concierge Services or the Office of Patient Experience:
