PNET: What helps with fatigue and weakness?
My tumour is grade 1 and fairly stable at 1 cm so it is just being monitored for now, but I struggle with fatigue and weakness. Do others have this experience and are there any good treatment options for fatigue?

Finding a balance between being exhausted from the cancer and/or treatment or from moving can be difficult. I eventually developed the mindset that if I am going to be exhausted, I want to earn it by moving. I make sure that I have places to sit and rest should I tire when moving and schedule nap/rest time on high activity days. Does this make sense?

2 Reactions@pavlina60 And God forbid you have a handicap sign and use it. I have gotten some puzzled looks because I don't look handicapped. If you could be turned inside out, maybe people would understand. (Kidding of course) but it can be annoying. If there is a day I am out shopping and don't need it, I don't use it. But, I know my pain level. Others don't.

3 Reactions@nannybb , typical! My friends from far places who have seen me right after surgery and now cannot understand that I am still the same " sick" person, even though I look perfectly healthy ...
Today I took a shower in the afternoon and almost needed a nap😢. I am better in the morning and then slowly go down...

1 Reaction@pavlina60 Tell me again, are you on any meds.? The shots?
I just had a video chat with a NP for my pain specialist. The next step was supposed to be an ablation. She was non-committal, vacillating between that and now deep massage that focuses specifically on restructuring the deeper muscles between my ribs. Either one is going to hurt like heck. She was worried the ablation might cause more surrounding tissue damage. I'm definitely going to get an oncologist on board. I HAVE to get back to work, or get a tent...lol
@nannybb , I am on Lanreotide every 28 days, my blood pressure meds, statin(crestor), vit.D2, and Fe gluconate for anemia. I retired after the "double surgery" and am on SSDI. I have some back pain and am starting PT on the 19th. Not sure about massages as I have some " clips" inside my body due to internal surgery...
@pavlina60 I have staples where they would most likely be doing the deep massage work. Not thrilled about either option at this point. I wish I could have spoken to my actual pain doctor and gotten her take. 🤦♀️
