PMR and Methotrexate
I have been on prednisone for about a year and am finally down to a daily 7 mg dose. However, still feeling some stiffness and my rheumatologist has suggested a couple of times that I could could also go on Methotrexate. I'm reluctant to take yet another medication though so am wondering if anyone else has tried Methotrexate and if it helped lessen the PMR symptoms.

Thank you. If things get worse, I will discuss the medications with my rheumotologist.
We celebrate Thanksgiving on the second Monday in October because the harvest is earlier in Canada because of our colder temperatures.
It used to be a celebration of the monarchy.
Every region eats different foods. And ever culture has their own ethnic/ cultural dishes. Turkey and Ham are usual one of the main dishes.
In Canada Thanksgiving dinner is not as an important as other holidays. As a child we went to the next province for the weekend to spend time with extended family. On Thanksgiving we were driving home eating sandwiches!
Take care.
Have been on prednisone for about 2 years. However, every time my dose is lowered the pain returns and the dose goes up again. Now the rheumatologist wants me to start methotrexate but after reading side effects I am really reluctant to start it so I really can't say if it is beneficial or not. I would really like to speak to people who have taken it and what they think of it. I wanted to stay on just prednisone but doctor is reluctant to as every time the dose is lower my inflammation marked go up.
MTX might not be for you. There are a hundred different ones that may work. I think the best message is a video dadcue posted recently. The video is an hour and half long. My suggestion is to scroll over to 31 minutes in the video and listen to her message. Its good advice from a Dr of pharmacy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29zEZgEP0Tk&t=8s
