pleurisy rub

I have had Pleural effusion, the fluid went away but I still have the pleural rub. I Googled how long it takes for pleural rub to go away, and the internet said 2 weeks. I have had it for 6 months! I was on cochicine and indomethacine, but both are dangerous drugs so I got off if them. I am taking OTC Advil, but it's not really helping. My doctors say it's going to take a while to go away. Is there anyone who has a pleural rub or who has had a pleural rub.? Can you tell me about your experience? I'm so stressed out!
